| Cleanroom Chemical Engineer |
| Cleanroom Chemical Engineer needed for fast paced High Tech Consulting Company located in Tempe, Arizona. Started in 1985, AGI is an engineering consulting firm specializing in High Tech Industries such as Semiconductor, Flat Panel Display, Photovoltaics, Disc Drive, Nanotechnology, Biotech, Genomics and University Labs. Duties Include: > Responsibility for chemical and gas elements of cleanroom design from programming through construction administration. Focus on Process systems and specialty chemical and gas distribution systems. > Perform cleanroom design calculations to insure adequate abatement and effluent treatment for air and liquid waste streams. > Assist with ultra high purity piping design for HPM labs and cleanrooms > Specify and design process systems, piping and plumbing for cleanrooms and Labs including DI water, AWN, PCW, PVAC, CDA and specialty gases and chemical distribution and collection. > Develop Environmental, health and safety plans and user training for Cleanroom and hazardous process materials storage and dispensing. > Develop tool and HPM room layout concepts to support user needs and safe chemical and gas handling. > Assist with code requirements analysis, based on chemical and gas requirements for various processes. > Perform process equipment suitability analyses and select best tools for the task, based on technical and commercial requirements. > Write and maintain equipment procurement and operational specifications for PVD, Diffusion, PECVD, Wet Process, Dry Etch, Photolithography, Metrology, CMP and/or other front end processes. > Perform tool research to support cost and capacity models. Qualifications: > Knowledge of equipment and processes for the microelectronics industry is required. > 50% travel required, including international and domestic travel. > Cleanroom design experience is a plus. > US Citizenship or permanent residency required. > Cleanroom construction experience is a plus. > Knowledge of Microelectronics Chemical and Gases, purity requirements, and their compatibility with piping systems is required. > Knowledge of PVD, Diffusion, PECVD, Wet and Dry Etch, Photolithography Processes is required. > Tool install design experience is a plus. > AutoCAD Skills a plus. > Environment, health and safety experience and interest is a plus. > Experience in Cleanroom or hazardous gas distribution operation, performing chemical and gas systems engineering for microelectronics, University labs or nanotechnology is a plus. > Bio experience a plus. > Familiarity with Codes and insurance requirements for use and storage of hazardous process materials a plus. > Experience with process equipment selection a plus. > Must be proficient in Excel. > Progress in job will require Professional Engineering certification within 2-5 years. > Fluency in Arabic, French, Spanish, Chinese a plus. Education: BS in Materials, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. Professional Engineering License is a plus. Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Writing Skills: English language specification writing, reports, and memoranda.
