Factory Planner® Integrated Factory, Cost, and Layout Analysis
Factory Planner's® integrated approach to factory modeling for FPD manufacturing facilities provides a solution to some of the problems factory designers and modelers have faced in the past. Currently, several spreadsheet models, a dynamic model, and CAD layouts all exist separately. Changing one set of model data does not ensure the changes will be reflected in the other models, thereby potentially producing different results. Factory Planner® is a client-server software package, allowing all users to access the same Oracle® database, providing data integrity for modelers, designers, and managers. This helps to promote uniformity of the inputs for all cost, static, and dynamic models, allowing data analysis on a true “apples-to-apples” basis. The plate-matching algorithm in FP® is unique to flat panel display manufacturing. FP® provides improved optimization of process variables and controls the potential "ripple effect" of a process change.
